Work innovation Summit is Asana's annual event that shares insights about the future of work and product innovations with customers. The event tours around the world in major cities like New York, San Francisco, London, and Tokyo. In 2024, I was the lead motion designer for this event, creating a countdown animation that spans across three wide screens, interstitial graphics, show flow, and a motion system.

Interstitial graphics
The keynote is the only session that spans across all three stages. When the keynote ends, we transition from maroon to blue, purple, and green on each stage.
We assigned a distinctive motion pattern to each stage. Maroon is used for the Keynotes, while green, purple, and blue each represents a breakout session. Interstitial graphics stitch together the intermissions, up next titles, and sessions.
Motion Guide
All motion patterns follow the same principles. We use blur effect and displacement map to create the illusion of something moving fast. The idea is constantly progressing, iterating, and advancing. Below is a section of the motion system that explains the formula of the patterns.
Below is a section of the motion system that explains how we formulate the patterns.

Work Innovation Awards
The Work Innovation Awards is a part of the main keynote. Speaker announces the winners while this ambience animation plays in the background.
Show flow design
There were multiple sessions and stages throughout the event. We studied the agenda and came up with a structure where motion graphics could serve as a bridge or divider between contents.
